The name Ostara comes from that of the Germanic fertility Goddess, who symbols are the bunny and the egg. Teutonic Lunar Goddess is Eostre. Her celebration was held on the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox.

The Spring Equinox is at the point of equilibrium, death has no power over the living, the Goddess returns from winter hibernation and becomes pregnant, night and day are of equal length during the Equinox, it is a time to rid yourself of whatever in the past is holding you back, a time for collection wildflowers and taking in all of Nature.
