Hi all, hope everyone had a great week. I had a really bad experience this week, I had to rehome my doggie. He was jumping from the deck floor up onto the rail and walking the rail, he'd go to the neighbor's and jump down onto their porches. We knew that ppl would be complaining with a quickness and we looked at the situation and my husband came to the conclusion there was nothing we could do to fix it.  Long story short, he was rehomed to a fabulous home ..he's very, very happy, and that's what mattered most to us. A rescue group had contacted me about him, and she wanted some ppl in Pennsylvania to have him and was trying to arrange transport. She told me that he'd end up in a shelter and DIE and she told me I was wrong to not have charged a rehoming fee, that he was a throw away..blahblah. I was sooo upset and just cried......he did find a great home and I feel better about the whole thing, but no more animals for us while we live here. No way. Ok, 'nuff rant...I hope you all have a great weekend!! (((((((hugs)))))))))

oh donna i am so sorry. :( but it does sound like it was what was best for everyone involved. i would say that you could so have another animal... but i don't live with you. lol! but i would say a chihuahua would be fantastic for you! i absolutely adore mine!!! they don't want to escape because they are way less hyper then a terrier mix. if you train them right you can take them for walks. mine LOVE it! they also are very very good about using pee pee pads so i don't have to worry about them when i am not home. :) and you can dress them up! ;)

    Good Morning Donna
I'm so sorry you had to give up your little dog. It's not the easiest decision to make, but sometimes it's the best. Your "rescue group" sounds like one I had to deal with earlier this year. After starting a comment to you about them, I decided to post it as a blog because everyone needs to know about these kinds of people.
Maybe it won't be long before you will be able to have animals again. When the time is right you will know it.
    Have a blessed day.
