Just venting this morning, it's a relief vent..lol My son's baby is due around September 10th, he just had a job change, they are panicking. Thank goodness for walmart.com, I got on there last night and had a crib and mattress shipped right to them, I found the bedding on eBay, you can add a guest address so that will be shipped directly to them as well. My gosh, cribs are expensive. I found a very nice one that converts right up to a full-sz bed, and had great user reviews, and it was an extremely reasonable price. Problem solved..lol I've sent them lots of little gowns and such I've found at thrift stores, they look like new! I looooove thrift shops :) I think it's all going to work out just fine, and at least they don't have to worry now. I'm just happy that, in this economy, we had the means to help!!
I've been watching the DNC..not impressed so far. Too much discord in Washington, if you ask me...and no one did..lol
Have a great day everyone! (((((hugs))))) and Blessings*~
CHAMONIX, France(AFP) - Mountain rescue workers on Sunday suspended their search for eight climbers, five Austrians and three Swiss, missing in an avalanche in the French Alps, because of worsening conditions....
Today we went to the flea market, HUGE mistake. It was hot as hell! We didn't realize how hot it was until we started walking around, had the 6 yr old with us, soooo we headed inside. We ended up going to the Bear Factory, hubby and I each got a black bear -- mine is a girl, named her Rita Bearworth with pink satin pj's, his a boy with an army outfit, named Ernie in honor of our son-in-law (his real name is Andy, long story). Cyd got a tiger she named Reba McEntiger..LOL Had a nice day, but glad to be back in the AC. I guess we had to have a big heat wave right before Autumn! All the festivals are starting soon and cydney is sooo excited. Have a great evening everyone :)
I have got a bad case of nostalgia..lol I had started discussing old films, actors, actresses etc with a friend and now look at me! i do love this era though. Yesterday I'd gone over to mom's to help her with her computer (at 72 and no patience, she is definately having an issue with technology. she kicked her computer in the "mouth" once, sending me into a tailspin trying to fix it, ordering the correct part, they didn't send the correct part..you know that drill. took her probably 3 months to get it resolved. she kicked it so hard, it broke the power button, the repair man had to take the motherboard out and put it in another case..go mom..LOL) ANYway, she and i ended up sitting on the floor in the hall right in front of her big linen closet looking at an old seventeen mag. from "back in the day". it was the coolest thing ever! she keeps drawings in there that she and a friend drew in school, mom could have been a fashion designer hands down. she's a great artist. i just love that era, we read my great-grandmother's diaries and while it was such a struggle back then, the whole feel of the country during war-time seemed so different than now. people were curteous, dressed so nice....it was a great time. dad's old college yearbook is just so cool too, everyone looked so great, dressed so cute..lol who knows when i'll get over this nostalgic twist (i've always loved this era and collect vintage radios) and maybe i just don't want too!
WOW sad news again, this great sax player has passed away at only 46 years old due to injuries (complications after release from hospital) from an ATV accident. Condolences to his family and the Dave Matthews Band*~
